SMIHIRA dan MAHAAD

Musolla Sekolah Menengah Islam Hira Jeram

It was establised in December 1991 in Batu Belah Klang. There were only 50 students and 6 teachers at that time. Now the enrollment is 415 student from around Klang Valley and 42 teachers.

It had received good responses and full support from Muslim community since it was first set up. In ’98 SMIH moved to a new premise in Jeram due to its increasing number of students.

SMIH is an extension of SRIH which started with the enrollment of students from form 1 to Form 5. Year by year new applications increase but some of them were rejected to ensure the quality of teaching and learning as well as the limited number of seats available. This phenomenum clearly shows that public had accepted the integrated Islamic education system well, led by SMIH.

SMIH had implemented Islamic Integrated Education system comprising KBSM and Islamic curriculum. It became a boarding school in 1999. It offers education from Form 1 to Form 5. In Form 4, after sitting for PMR Examination, students persue their studies either in scince or vocational stream.

For co-curriculum activities, students are requied to be in mentor-mentee system, involve in Pergerakan Syabab Fatayat Malaysia (MGBSIM) and are allowed to join any societies and clubs such as Persatuan Bahasa, Kelab Nasyid, Tae Kwan Do, Silat Gayong, and extras.
